Research Associate/Assistant Professor positions are immediately available
in Prof. Ian Wilson’s Lab of Antibody Structure at Shanghai Institute for
Advanced Immunochemical Studies (SIAIS), ShanghaiTech University (
http://siais.shanghaitech.edu.cn/eng/research7.asp). SIAIS is an innovative
research institute dedicated to the fundamental problems in life science,
particularly in the field of immunology.

The Lab of Antibody Structure utilizes a multidisciplinary approach to
study the structures and functional mechanisms of key molecules/complexes
in innate and adaptive immunity, with a long-term goal of understanding and
modulating the functions of important immune receptors and effectors for
the prevention and treatment of various immune disorders, microbial
infections or cancers.

We are now seeking self-motivated talents to join us. Candidates for
Research Associate/Assistant Professor positions should:

--- hold a Ph.D. degree in biophysics, biochemistry, computational biology
or immunology

--- have a strong research background in structural or computational biology

--- have a publication record commensurate with experience

--- manifest good problem solving, interpersonal and communication skills

--- familiarity with single particle electron microscopy of macromolecular
complexes would be a plus

--- experience in membrane protein crystallography would also be a plus, as
well as familiarity with small angle x-ray scattering (SAXS)

Besides taking responsibilities for his/her own and collaborative projects,
the candidates are also expected to help training and supervising graduate
students and postdoctoral fellows. The candidates will benefit from the
world-class academic environment as well as easy access to SSRF beam lines
for macromolecules and SAXS, and state-of-the-art cryo-EM instruments
(Titan Krios/K2 to be installed at ShanghaiTech University).

If interested, please send a cover letter, a curriculum vitae with
publication list and three references to si...@shanghaitech.edu.cn (cc:
