   Job Description Summary

   Here at Lonza we have a great opportunity available for a Senior
   Scientist to join Lonza's Applied Protein Services (APS) Bioinformatics
   team. This is a permanent position based out of our Cambridge facility.

   The Senior Scientist will work on multiple customer projects including
   antibody and protein engineering and design, antibody humanisation and
   deimmunisation and immunogenicity and protein risk assessments. In
   addition, the role will involve some system administration and programming
   to support the maintenance and development of multiple proprietary
   platforms.

   *Key Responsibilities:*
   - To perform computational antibody and protein engineering to design
      and/or modify potential biotherapeutics for customers
      - To perform *in silico*:
   - antibody humanisation and deimmunisation
      - immunogenicity risk assessments using Lonza’s proprietary EpibaseTM
      T-cell epitope prediction platform
      - developability risk assessments and antibody aggregation risk
      prediction using Lonza’s proprietary platforms
         - To perform expert sequence and structure based risk assessments
         - Program/script to support the development and maintenance of
         proprietary platforms and algorithms
         - Work in both Linux and Windows environments
         - To author high quality reports for clients and in-house
         development work
         - Share responsibility for maintenance and update of software,
         databases, systems and servers
         - To communicate project updates to internal and external clients

   - PhD or equivalent experience in Bioinformatics/Structural Biology with
      a focus on computational protein engineering and modelling  , preferably
      with experience in industry
      - Demonstrate attention to detail and ensure that quality standards
      are maintained while delivering results
