POSTDOCTORAL FELLOWSHIP A postdoctoral fellowship position is available in the Tsai laboratory at Baylor College of Medicine to investigate the 3D structure, mechanism, and function of ATP-dependent protein quality control machines and related stress-response proteins (Proc. Natl. Acad. Sci. USA 2016; Cell Rep. 2019; J. Mol. Biol. 2019; eLife 2020). Applicants with a Ph.D. in molecular biology, biochemistry or enzymology are encouraged to apply. Demonstrated experience with methods used to express and purify proteins is essential; experience with PCR cloning and site-directed mutagenesis is desired. Prior experience in enzymology or working with a model organism (e.g. bacteria, yeast, worms) is an advantage. The successful applicant will be highly motivated and possess excellent communication skills. S/he will join a multi-disciplinary team that uses systems biology methods to address questions of high biomedical importance. Salary is pegged to the current NIH scale and is in addition to a generous fringe benefit package. To apply, please send a cover letter with research interests and experiences, your current CV, and contact information for three referees to Dr. Francis Tsai (ft...@bcm.edu).
* Experience with common statistical methods for data analysis is essential. * Experience with PCR cloning and IEX, HIC, SEC chromatography is required. * Prior experience in enzymology is an advantage (for biochemists). * Prior experience with model organisms is an advantage (for molecular biologists). * Applicants must be able to work independently and as a member of a team. Applicants with a recent Ph.D. in biological sciences, pharmacology, chemistry, microbiology, or biophysics will be considered if they meet the required criteria. Essential experience is fulfilled by having one first (or co-first) author publication in a reputable peer-reviewed journal. ######################################################################## To unsubscribe from the CCP4BB list, click the following link: https://www.jiscmail.ac.uk/cgi-bin/WA-JISC.exe?SUBED1=CCP4BB&A=1 This message was issued to members of www.jiscmail.ac.uk/CCP4BB, a mailing list hosted by www.jiscmail.ac.uk, terms & conditions are available at https://www.jiscmail.ac.uk/policyandsecurity/
