Dear CCP4BB subscribers, The CCP4 Structural Biology Summer School will be taking place in York from 31st July to 8th August. We've got an exciting programme prepared for the students, including lectures on macromolecular crystallography, Cryo-EM, structure prediction, NMR and other techniques. This year, the programme has been extended from 7 to 9 days in order to include more cryo-EM content: map processing, docking, model building and refinement. Processing steps prior to this (image processing, 2D classification and 3D reconstruction) will not be covered in detail due to time constraints. All aspects of crystallographic structure solution will be covered during the workshop, from data collection and processing through to phasing, model building, refinement, validation and deposition. There will be a few social events, including a ceilidh, a quiz and dinner in/on a unique venue! The school is open to anyone but places are limited. We will be back in touch once the registration process is in place.
