Dear all, We are having problems with our elderly Rigaku Minstrel HT UV imaging system with one of the big Gallery plate hotels. We had a compressor leak which we solved by refilling the compressor. However, when we restarted the system, after an initial scan of the plates and overnight operation we found the hotel stalled with orange blinking light. It looked like there was an error with the camera unit. We spent an entire day of trials and reboots to get the software to start and the gallery to home. We encountered several issues, of which the one we have been unable to solve is:
The system starts homing and scanning the stacks but randomly stalls with error message “Timeout waiting for GetcassetteInventoryComplete“. The position that this occurs in appears random. For example, we get it in stack 1, 3, 6, 9, 12, 16, 17 in random positions. Without proper homing we are unable to do anything with the system. In a last-ditch attempt to regain function we stopped initialization of both system and gallery just at startup, which basically allows us to get into manual mode without homing the gallery. In this way the hotel is temperature controlled and we have access to manual imaging but the hotel and imager don’t talk to each other. We are hoping that there's someone else out there in possession of an ageing Rigaku Minstrel that might be able to help. Rigaku discontinued this whole product line many years ago and it's very hard to get support otherwise. Best wishes Derek _____________________________________________________ Derek Logan Professor | Biochemistry and Structural Biology LINXS Fellow | SciLifeLab Group Leader Centre for Molecular Protein Science Lund University, Box 124, 221 00 Lund, Sweden www.cmps.lu.se ######################################################################## To unsubscribe from the CCP4BB list, click the following link: https://www.jiscmail.ac.uk/cgi-bin/WA-JISC.exe?SUBED1=CCP4BB&A=1 This message was issued to members of www.jiscmail.ac.uk/CCP4BB, a mailing list hosted by www.jiscmail.ac.uk, terms & conditions are available at https://www.jiscmail.ac.uk/policyandsecurity/
