Dear Protein Crystallography Hive Mind I am assembling some protein crystallisation equipment after a long absence from such tasks, and I'm looking for a useful thing that I think existed, but now I'm beginning to doubt my own memory!
The best platform for crystal manipulation etc. IMHO in a microbridge in a 24-well plate. In my memory one used to be able to obtain microbridges with a flat surface for the crystallisation drop to sit on, but all that we have in lab storeroom, and all that the venerable Hampton appear to sell (now?) have a concave well (e.g. https://hamptonresearch.com/uploads/support_materials/3-340_342_UG.pdf). Can anyone confirm that the flat-bottomed microbridge is a real thing, and not merely a hallucination from the book of my vanishing memory? And if they are real, does anyone where I can buy them in the modern era? thanks all Shaun ######################################################################## To unsubscribe from the CCP4BB list, click the following link: https://www.jiscmail.ac.uk/cgi-bin/WA-JISC.exe?SUBED1=CCP4BB&A=1 This message was issued to members of www.jiscmail.ac.uk/CCP4BB, a mailing list hosted by www.jiscmail.ac.uk, terms & conditions are available at https://www.jiscmail.ac.uk/policyandsecurity/
