Dear all

a gentle reminder on the next deadline for NEW BAG applications for the
ID29 serial crystallography beamline is on *March 2nd at 5pm CET*
https://www.esrf.fr/home/UsersAndScience/Apply-for-beamtime/proposal-types-and-deadlines.html

Please note that existing (conventional) MX BAG might be eligible for shift
allocation on ID29 upon feasibility check of the project. Get in contact
with us if interested [email protected]

ID29 is equipped with the newly developed MD3upSSX diffractometer - to
perform *fast fixed target and foils *data collection and can accommodate
other sample delivery methods, such as *high viscosity extruders* and a
tape drive system for *ligand mixing experiments*, while user supplied
devices can be accommodated after validation. The beamline produces 70
microsecond pulses, reducible to 30-20-10 microseconds (depending on ESRF
filling mode), at the routine repetition rate of 231hz (increase possible
up to 925hz) and with a flux of > 10^15 ph/s in 1% bandwidth on a 2 um beam
spot size. Data is recorded with a Jungfrau 4M detector, with automatic
peak detection and discarding of empty frames. Different lasers are
available for light activation studies.

Best regards
