When I got an ASR33 with a built-in dataset (from the Dayton Hamfest, in the 80s), I had much the same quandry. At the time, my best solution was to call up a local CompuServe number. I got a login prompt and called it good. That said, I'd be a little surprised if that trick still worked. -ethan
