1892 would probably not be 5.25" disks. Probably a Hollerith code, since that was 2 years into the census. round holes, 12 rows, 24 columns, 3" x 5.5" (later, they went to 3.25" x 7.375") That was all before my time, so I have to rely on accounts by others.
