Also sounds like the FAT12 disk formats were not quite MS-DOS compatible...

Well, the LAST ones, . . . even then, "modern" MS-DOS handles a VERY limited repertoire of the FAT12 MS-DOS formats.


Do you have access to a flux-transition board (CP, Cat-weasel,Kryoflux, etc.)?
