DOS/Windoze will have absolutely no idea how to understand what is on the
disk.

They weren't of course.

But, you have to tread very carefully.  Because SOMETIMES [now rarely],
they could mean the PRE-5150 definition where "IBM compatible" meant 3740/SSSD 8" with 128 byte sectors. 5150 really was a danger to itself and/or others; it totally destroyed the meaning ot "IBM compatible" disks.
