The "restoration" hopefully is 100% on the ICs as a $400k price needs the original IC set not work if that was the case. At least I'd think having the original parts is more useful to the buyer. You can or get an emulator for the Apple 1, which is cute, but isn't that great a machine, and not disturb an original artifact.
Forget the Apple 1 on that auction site... those Apple colored "sunglasses" that Woz had made are pretty funky.
