I would be all for a return to context posting, where the quoted text is edited to leave only the salient points with their responses. Unfortunately, the web as a whole has gone for top-posting because its less effort and avoids the need to read through the history - which may be poorly edited - before finding the bottom-posted result. This is the result. It is at least easy to skip.
