Hi Martin, I used to have another machine with a SCSI interface, but I don't have any of it left. I have ordered a ZuluSCSI emulator. I am going to try and hook it up in addition to the RZ25. There are cables for a second drive but I think I need to rotate the RZ25 a quarter turn for the emulator to fit as a second drive. Or, I'll hook it up as an external SCSI device.
That way I should be able to setup other drives I can use. Perhaps I'll just take the RZ25 out and put it in a box on a shelf. I'll have to see. But there are definitely options. - Peter On Sun, Dec 7, 2025 at 5:28 PM Martin Bishop via cctalk < [email protected]> wrote: > https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/134980892951 PCI - SCSI adapter + an old PC + > Linux on a USB -> disk copy > > Even easier if you have all the bits to hand, SCSI tends to require a > selection of cables, adapters and terminators to make it fly > > A DC power cable and 50-way ribbon may suffice for an RZ-25 > > Martin > > -----Original Message----- > From: Wayne S via cctalk [mailto:[email protected]] > Sent: 07 December 2025 22:20 > To: Hans-Ulrich Hölscher <[email protected]> > Cc: General Discussion: On-Topic and Off-Topic Posts < > [email protected]>; Wayne S <[email protected]> > Subject: [cctalk] Re: MicroVAX 3100 ( was: Re: Re: VAX and OpenVMS) > > They are expensive. > Can you get a scsi drive and attach it to your mv ?
