Hello all, I'm looking for technical documentation for a 1980 Exxon Qyx "Intelligent Typewriter," Level 2 -- the Z80-based word-processing typewriter from Exxon's short-lived office systems era.
The machine I have doesn't power on, and I'm trying to get it repaired. The problem: no service manual or schematics seem to exist anywhere online (checked Bitsavers, Internet Archive, etc.), so any tech would be reverse-engineering the power supply blind. Does anyone have a Qyx service manual, schematics, or other technical docs they'd be willing to share, scan, or sell? User manuals and software disks also of interest. Happy to cover copying/postage costs. For reference, this is the same model held by Museums Victoria (Level 2, tested 30-07-80). I saw a 2002 thread here where someone mentioned having Qyx manuals and software -- if you're still out there, I'd love to hear from you. Thanks, Nicholas Dallas, TX
