The simplest thing, if you can locate one, is to find a WD1000/WD1001 controller board and hook it to a PC. Chances are overwhelming that it was used to write the SA100x in the first place.
My first 5150 hard drive used such a setup--an SA1002, a WD1001 and a very small hand-wired ISA card for interface. I think I still have the interface card somewhere. --Chuck
