Looking for a *.NET/SQL Server 2005 BI Developer position* Need to have strong .NET Development background and strong *SQL Server 2005 SSIS / SSRS / BI* reporting skills. *Find people local to Chicago or able to at least drive to Chicago for an in person interview (after passing a phone screen).* Must have strong communication skills Duration: 6 month contract Bill-Rate: $45-50/hr C to C Location: Chicago, IL *Need strong .NET Developers with strong SSIS skills. See below:*** *Required Skills:* Strong technical background (2+ years programming experience) in web development utilizing Microsoft's Visual Studio, Visual Basic, ASP, HTML, IIS, VBScript, and JavaScript. Experience with Microsoft's DNA architecture (MTS, DCOM, COM, *COM+, XML*) Extensive use of *Microsoft* SQL *Server 2005 and experience with Oracle legacy database. Strong database management and programming skills ( Understanding of Data Modeling, SSIS, stored procedure development)* Experience in all phases of project development including requirements, design, coding, testing & implementation tasks Experience with n-tier technology Visual Studio Experience and .NET experience required Relevant college degree or equivalent experience required * **Preferred Skills:* Strong background in more than one programming language (e.g. Visual C# or Visual C++) Experience working on multi-tier development projects Strong database programming and skills (Oracle packages, stored procedure development) General insurance and reinsurance knowledge a plus; group insurance background is a plus · Will develop, unit test and document ETL packages (SSIS) · Resolve defects and issues identified during CIS and User Acceptance Testing · Provide knowledge transfer to IT staff · Is the project a conversion from Oracle to a SQL Server 2005 environment? It is not a direct conversion this is a new MS 2005 SQL database and we still use the Oracle databases. · SSIS is key for the ETL but are SSRS or SSAS important? No SSIS is how we are building our mapping and translations. We are using SSRS but most reports have been developed they may need some tweaking. SSAS will be handled by others but is comfortable with it this will make the job easier for everyone. · Is there a SQL Server DBA on board?
