you have to configure Taverna to use the proxy.

But please sent Taverna related question not the CDK list! Please use
therefore the Taverna lists:

Dear colleague,
I tried to install taverna on my comoputer(winXP), however, after unzip the
file and run the runme.bat, the following message returns:
"Unable to connect to any mirror sites for to check for updated prifiles.
This strongly indicates that you have no network access."
I am using a local proxy to the internet, is this the problem, how can I fix
it ?
