Hi all, I updated and made available some code of mine that uses the CDK (1.3.5) to export molecules in image and document formats. Currently the following types are supported: jpg, png, bmp, wbmp, gif, emf, pdf, svg, swf, ps, mol, smi, sdf.
The basic idea is to use a format string instead of code to specify how to render the molecule. E.g. "format:jpg,width:200,height:200,ZoomToFit:true". I think the CDK would benefit from including the concept. I'm willing help integrate this if anyone is interested.
