Dear CDK users and developers,

today I received the sad news that Patrik Rydberg passed away in
November last year [0]. Patrik was a long time user of the CDK, e.g.
with his SMARTCyp work of which you can find some papers at [1]. An
more complete overview of his work can be found at Google Scholar [2].

Patrik was a nice person to talk to and used funny shoes [3]. The last
time we met was at the OpenTox meeting in Mainz last year, where we
talked about a newer project, XMetDB [4], in which he was involved,
based on Nina Jeliazkova's AMBIT (which in turn uses the CDK), which
quite impressed me, because it started out with a CCZero license.

He will be missed.

Egon
