Well, this is actually correct. The license permits unlimited re-distribution, so should you have a copy of OpenOffice.org and decide to sell an copy of it, then in fact you do have a licenses to distribute it... > > When my CD arrived it was, of course, OpenOffice...which is FREE software. Free as in "Free Speech", not as in "free pizza", however. Some other languages (such as French and the other Romance languages, are better for distinguishing the difference. Your name makes me think you may come from a non-English background (probably German or Dutch, but then you could be from Pennsylvania too.. :) ), and of course German makes a better distinction than English too... Anyone can sell OO.o for whatever price they choose (for example, if you can find someone willing to part with $200 for it, then you may quite legally sell it to them at that price.) > > Are you aware of this deception taking place that goes against the very > nature of your intentions for the product to be free? As I said, we are well aware of the way Luxuriosity behaves. We don't like it, but (so far) they don't appear to have breached any of the terms of the license, so there is little we can do (other than write emails to them, and ask those they've caught out to write to them as well. You could also consider contacting eBay about them as well...). > > Thank you in advance for your prompt response. > > Best regards, > > Angeleen Umfleet > RIVETING DESIGN > 503-538-4788 (office) > 503-516-5788 (everywhere else) > www.rivetingdesign.com -- Alex Fisher Co-Lead, CD-ROM Project OpenOffice.org Marketing Community Contact Australia/New Zealand http://distribution.openoffice.org/cdrom/ --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
