Hello, I am interested in helping the OpenOffice.org community by shipping, for free, a limited number of CD-ROMs with OpenOffice.org for various platforms to addresses within the United States of America. The number must be limited (but not fixed) because I have limited funds to devote to shipping costs.
I propose to deploy a system similar to Kubuntu's ShipIt website (https://shipit.kubuntu.org/) which allows users to register, enter their shipping address and request a CD-ROM be mailed to them. Unless another site would be preferred, I would host this service from my website, http://www.madebyai.com. To do so, I'd like to use the official OpenOffice.org logo. I could also ship large quantities of CD-ROMs or DVD-ROMs under special circumstances. This proposal though is more for free shipping of single discs to individuals without high-speed Internet access. Thanks for your time and the opportunity to contribute!
