Good afternoon.
Having been an avid user and supporter of the OpenOffice.org product for
a number of years, I came back to the web site for a bit of a 'look
around' to see how things were progressing and reading through the
projects area, stumbled upon the CD Rom/OEM distrubution project.
Having just taken over the reins of a computer retail/service store in
Launceston, Tasmania, thought this may be an opportunity for us to
further promote the OpenOffice.org product. We are a system assembler
(we build our own) as well as a distributor of brand name computers and
are constantly asked for alternatives to the Microsoft product.
Normally we would recommend OpenOffice.org and point them to your web
site, however, many people here still utilise dialup internet or are on
ADSL with limited download allowances and cannot/will not download the
product. As this presents an opportunity for us, we would like to
become a Community Distributor. As per directions listed on your
'Information for Distributors' page, please find following;
Company Name: Eaglecrest Technologies
URL: http://www.eaglecrest.com.au
Location: Launceston, Tasmania, Australia
CD Files: Windows Stable only at this stage (Category 1?) and OEM
Install on system builds
We have read and understood the requirements for supplying a copy of
the licence with every CD distributed
We understand we may still distribute OpenOffice.org at any time even
if we haven't recieved a reply email yet
Yours Sincerely,
Robert Lukas
General Manager.
