Sorry for not responding for some time, but the system had multiple hardware issues and was therefore replaced. I could set it up and start my test earliest yesterday.
I ran a test compile last night and can report back that a simple "make" in the "schily-dist" directory was enough to generate binaries. After "make" worked, I tried "sudo make install", and after that didn't work, I read "INSTALL", copied "smake" by hand to "/usr/local/bin", and ran "sudo smake install", which finished everything without problems. So, false alarm. There were transient hardware issues which influenced the outcome. Thanks for your help! Erik Joerg Schilling <[email protected]> schrieb am Mo., 26.
