If your drive uses LUN 1 you will have to modify sd.conf

Looks as if your drive has general problems.
BTW: I never had a Toshiba. The Panasonic worked with
Solaris 7, but I had the drive one year before and Solaris 8
arrived in August 1999 so I could not test UDF.
