Compiling with MinGW32 won't work - don't know what "selfhost" is.
cdrecord is a Unix application - the Cygwin compile of the cdrtools uses the
"transparent unix emulation layer on top of Windows" given by the cygwin1.dll
MinGW32 is a Win32 only compiler.
