The situation is difficult for us.
I have the same problem on my Linux machine with the most recent
version of cdrecord (1.10beta)
Joerg Schilling (JS) claims the Linux driver is in error
'since tatus: 0x0 (GOOD STATUS) is impossible'
For my applications I can use cdrecord's data= option
where I specifiy a file or an ISO-image.
I intended to contact the author of the current IDE_SCSI
driver about that situation.
Don't try to contact JS, you might only get insults like me
just because (citation) "my religion is Linux".
