I have cdrecord (1.11a8) working nicely on an old redhat 6.2 box running
kernel 2.2.16.
I just tried on one using kernel 2.4.3. But it gives the following error
message when trying to run "cdrecord -scanbus". "./cdrecord: No such file or
directory. Cannot open '/dev/pg*'. Cannot open SCSI driver.".
I have scsi_mod, ide-scsi, sg, cdrom and sr_mod loaded. And I can mount a
disc from the drive using /dev/sg0 perfectly fine.
I have tried creating pg0-pg4 using the same major and minor numbers as on
the other machine. Doesn't help.
What is missing?

BR,
Mattias Blomqvist
