The -load function in cdrecord works with the actual drive used.

The Kodak disk transporter uses proprietatry SCSI commands (mode sense/mode select)
for control.

A really bad idea. 

I never started to write code for the transporter because it is proprietary and
I have no access to a drive and because I know you cannot buy them anymore.
