CDs written by Nero work very good TM for me and for many other people. Could you explain what Nero should write and what ommits required by the standard ? Because for me Nero writes everything necessary to read the CD under Linux and windows and doesn't leak so much privacy information. > Most of the things that are removed by your "patch" are required by the > standard. Yes! The standard is wrong about what should be written to the CD ! In fact applying my patch I could get CDs written with mkisofs working with old versions of DOS (some don't like the version sector). > >The debian bug page about this privacy leak is at: > >http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=87043&repeatmerged=yes > > It's not a bug, it's a feature. Who says this ? .... Oh, yes, Micro$oft with their virus support :-) (just a joke) Yes, It may be a feature for you to ease mkisofs development. But is a privacy leak to the users of mkisofs. > There are many other programs that write this sort of information. May be the programs that people don't want to use ?
