So far as I know, the ISO 9660 Logical Sector Size on CDROM is always 2048 bytes. While it would be possible to comply with ISO 9660 using some larger Logical Sector Size, it would require out-of-band indications of this deviation from the norm. I had guessed that the choice of 2048 for the Logical Sector Size was because for some CDROM drives that is the minimum transfer size (while others go down to 512 bytes).
So for ISO 9660 data written to DVD-whatever, is the common Logical Sector Size still 2048 ? Larry Kilgallen LJK Software -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]
