Apparently you didn't get my last mail. Here it is again, hope it 
comes through this time, and you can answer my questions so I can 
actually try and help you. If you don't tell me what you are doing 
exactly, what results you get, and what results you wanted, I can't 
help you, because I don't know what you want to do.

That would surprise me. Jörg uses Solaris himself, and 
README.solaris (did you follow the instructions in there?) doesn't 
say anything about needing gcc to compile cdrecord. So I'd say it 
should work. What did you do exactly and what error message are you 
getting when you try to compile?

Oh, and please CC the list, that way this will show up in the 
archives and others who have a similar problem in the future will 
be able to look it up.
