If there is a buggy drive to test then i would like to submit http://scdbackup.sourceforge.net/cdrskin-0.5.6.pl00.tar.gz Command line interface as with cdrecord. Use option -dao to enforce DAO writing. The underlying libburn is supposed to pad DVD writing to full 32 KiB blocks. But one never knows what other drive peduliarities arise and spoil success.
