Hi, regrettably the new version 0.6.0 of libburn had to be patched for a bug with closing BD-R media. The written session is not closed and thus unreadable. If the last session is also the first session then libburn mistakes the media for blank but further write attempts fail.
There is hope that affected media can be made readable by the next release of libburn. For now the production of spoiled media is prevented by release 0.6.0.pl01. System requirements: Linux with kernel 2.4 or 2.6: libc, libpthread or FreeBSD : libc, libpthread, ATAPI/CAM enabled, see atapicam(4) Changes: * Bug fix: BD-R were not correctly finalized libburn-0.6.0.pl01 SVN tag: http://svn.libburnia-project.org/libburn/tags/ZeroSixZeroPl01 (needs autotools >= 1.7 to apply command ./bootstrap) libburn-0.6.0.pl01 release tarball: http://files.libburnia-project.org/releases/libburn-0.6.0.pl01.tar.gz (needs only vanilla tools for ./configure ; make) Starting point for more information: http://libburnia-project.org/wiki/Libburn Post bug reports or requests either to the libburnia ticket system: http://libburnia-project.org/newticket or to this mailing list: mailto:[email protected] Have a nice day :) Thomas -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [email protected] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
