Greetings, A couple of quick announcements about the tournament(s).
First, the block for the tournament hotel is expiring very soon. Technically I believe it expires tomorrow so if you have not already made reservations please do so. You can make reservations by calling 1-888-236-2427 and asking for the Cal Swing Debate Tournament rate. Second, please enter your competitors and judges online if you have not done so already. I know we are still more than a month out, but I have to finalize catering plans and room reservations and with the Christmas break I need to do that sooner rather than later. Also, if you could to the best of your ability update the total number of people in your party on debateresults I would appreciate it. If you have need of hired judging please let me know and I will try to put you in touch with people I know who are looking to be hired. Third, up to this point I have asked people for a rough guess as to how many parking permits you will need for campus and/or whether you will need to use our transportation system. I am now at the point of needing firm numbers to put in the appropriate requests. Please email me your specific transportation needs keeping in mind that parking permits are $25 per permit and our transportation is $30 per person per tournament and only runs to and from the tournament hotel. Please send me this information even if you have already sent it to me before as most people were hedging their bets about how many people they were bringing or were trying to figure out their transportation.
