This week GK was named a finalist for the Conrad Hilton Humanitarian
Prize, which is the largest humanitarian award in terms of monetary
value around the world. Out of 300 NGO's worldwide, GK is on the
shortlist for an award worth 1.5 million US dollars. The judges were
in the GK office yesterday and were amazed at how GK has flourished
with very little resources.

GK has also been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize.

3 classmates from AIM, which includes GK Head of Operations Mari
Oquinena, put their minds together to promote peace in Sulu through
the Bayani Challenge. AIM will honor them during its graduation
ceremony tomorrow.

Let's continue to push this work forward...GK is built on the
sacrifice and heart of volunteers like you...
