a half. We will go back to attend a Transplant Seminar at the NKTI as we did in

There are three types of Donors: Cadavers & Live Related & not Related.
Cadavers are increasing because of increasing & widening awareness &
inderstanding. Not Related Live Donors are decreasing because of the Crackdown
on the sale of Organs. Thus Cadavers & Related Live Donors are increasing as a
percentage.
Both the Donee & Potential Donor have to undergo Seminars & Crossmatching.
When the Donee is awaiting a Cadaver Kidney, he or xhe have to continually
update their crossmatching tests & procedures.l

A backward chronology re Baby's kidneys:
Halloween morning, Oct 31, 2013, Thu, 830 - 920 am, at the OR of the NKTI,
Drs. Purugganan & Oveira installed an IJ catheter below Baby's right neck (in
case of the need for emergency dialysis) in a fifteen minute Out patient
procedure. Due to the Halloween/Undas/All Saints & Souls Days Rush, the
Installation of a permanent Fistula (under hospital confinement) will be done
next week or next month.
On the night of Sat, Oct 19, For a second time our Nephrologist, my
classmate, Dr. Antonio "Sonny" Paraiso ordered the installation of a Fistula
for Dialysis on Baby;s arm. Due to the length of time it takes before the
Dialysis can be done through the Fistula, he then ordered the installation of a
Catheter for Emergency or Instant Dialysis.
In May of 2012, at about the time of my Coronary & Femoral Angiogram & Single
Stent Angioplasty (Dr. Lazatin at SLMC, QC.), Sony first ordered the Fistula
procedure after Baby's Creatinine shot up to around 450.
