Thanks a lot Bebo. Happy holidays as well to you and your entire family!

On the surveys- Both were conducted at almost at the same point in time and
were done scientifically and generally in line with accepted standards. Hence,
we can conclude that the 2 surveys are valid and reliable. ( I am more familiar
though with the operations - conduct of fieldwork of SWS  than the Laylo
surveys).

Interestingly, even though the two used very different methodologies ( manner
of questioning), it appears that the results of the two survey tend to validate
each other ( at least in terms of the % of people liking / preferring the Vice
President).

For the SWS survey, it will be helpful to see how many mentioned one candidate
only vs. more than one candidate ( to determine  the intensity of the
preference).

For the latest  Laylo survey, two key observations:

1. The  % of people liking or  loyal to the VP is about the same, regardless of
the number of candidates the respondents were presented. This is especially
true with 2 - 4 candidates.

2. The level of undecided "voters"  is quite high when presented with only 2
candidates ( VP vs. Poe or VP vs Roxas). In a 3 way contest, Roxas appears to
have gotten a substantial segment of the undecideds, but the number of those
who remained undecided is still high at 16%.

Right now the best scenario for the VP is either a two cornered fight between
Binay and Roxas or a Binay vs at least 2 other candidates ( Roxas and Poe).

Clearly, Poe remains a very dangerous threat since despite the fact that she
has not declared any intention to run, she is generating  impressive ratings.
Needless to say, you are more familiar with what Poe might eventually decide to
do.

Best Regards,

NONOY
