There's an appropriate cliche for this: Those who ride the tiger to battle end up inside the tiger. Or something to that effect.
The Fascist Trump is very attractive to a lot of white people in this country because his slogan, "Make America Great Again," is a dog whistle. What it means to a lot of white racists is "Make America White Again." In California, the minority races are the new majority, with the non-Hispanic whites confined to minority status. Texas is almost there. And so are Nevada and New Mexico. The minorities are rising even in the Deep South. So what must white racists do? They must unite behind a guy like Trump, who has sworn that he will go after the Hispanics. He is also going after blacks. His full-throated support of "heroic" policemen is an affront to "Black Lives Matter." To Trump, the police are always right. When was the last time he spoke up against police brutality and criminality towards helpless black youth? Never mind the last time. When was the first time? And his rants against women. This guy can be a hero to the Taliban. The guy's forebears who came to this country from Germany were named Drumpf. Heil Hitler Drumpf. What a riot!
