with the definitions of 'an X server is the machine controlling your display/showing you the desktop' and client being 'some machine that wants to run processes which then show their graphical output to some other location', you want to run 'host +' (although it should really be something more like 'xhost + hostname') on the server and run 'export display=somemachine:somenumber(s)' on the client. or better yet, run ssh -X user@hostname and let ssh tunnel it for you. _______________________________________________ CentOS mailing list CentOS@centos.org http://lists.centos.org/mailman/listinfo/centos
