I'm in the process of upgrading to CentOS 7 on 22 machines.  If CentOS 8 becomes available in say 6 weeks, I'll stop and wait for it.  It's difficult upgrading the OS, DNS, and 389-DS and Oracle 12c - that's why I ask.
