That's a big assumption to make. I set up systems for businesses who want "a computer that does job x". They don't know, care, or want to know what it runs on as long as the thing logs the production or makes the press crank on cue. "Here's your appliance", and they throw it in a corner and maybe someone blows the dust off of it every couple of years when they're going by with a vacuum. They don't want a relationship with Red Hat", and probably wouldn't even know what that is if I told them about it. "Hey Frank, this thing just quit. Make it work again."
