if local users copy /home/* /etc/passwd /etc/shadow after first making
sure there are no dupes on new system
I usually do this with yank/paste in vi or whatever, just
cutting/copying the user entries, and leaving the standard accounts on
the new system alone. of course, be sure to copy the exact same
entries into /etc/shadow!
