Let's see. 7 weeks after a RHEL release, we have: 1. When is it going to be out
2. If they had donations, it would be out faster 3. The team spends needless energy trying to cool things down on the lists, delaying the release if only for a bit, and it frustrates them And we know that you can expect the release from the upstream vendor to take 4-8 weeks before it hits the CentOS repository. And we're well within that window with plenty of time to go before it expires (not to mention a major holiday in that window, and TWO releases going on at once), and the CentOS boards clearly say that we're close to the release of 5.6...it should be seeded very soon to the mirrors. It would be like at Christmas, in early December... mom and dad haven't given us any presents yet. Maybe if we got them more money, we'd get the presents faster. If they needed money, they'd ask for it. Can't we just enjoy the anticipation for once? Please? ******************************************************************************* Gilbert Sebenste ******** (My opinions only!) ****** ******************************************************************************* _______________________________________________ CentOS mailing list CentOS@centos.org http://lists.centos.org/mailman/listinfo/centos
