There are some features in this firmware that give me some hope, now, for make-wifi-fast on an 802.11ac platform.
http://www.candelatech.com/ath10k.php "Optimized tx-credits handling. Host driver can configure maximum tx-credits and firmware will return credits immediately so less flush-mgmt hacks are needed on host. Supports reporting tx-rate to the sending stack. Supports configuring the firmware tx-buffer count below 1024." I dug my archer C7 v2 out of a box (which as best as I remember, has an ath10k in it) and darn it, cant find the power supply. http://www.amazon.com/TP-LINK-Archer-C7-Wireless-Gigabit/dp/B00BUSDVBQ/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1424541340&sr=8-1&keywords=tp-link+archer+c7 Also, minstrel-blues is looking promising and I hope it lands in mainline shortly. I am really not up to doing a full cerowrt-like release of anything for general use, but I actually did do a build and test it on a wndr3800 - am very impressed with the forwarding rates I got out of 3.18, minstrel-blues appears to work, and darn it, where the heck is the power supply for this tp-link thingi.... -- Dave Täht http://www.bufferbloat.net/projects/bloat/wiki/Upcoming_Talks _______________________________________________ Cerowrt-devel mailing list [email protected] https://lists.bufferbloat.net/listinfo/cerowrt-devel
