Herbert,

Hie hope you are well. I have been enjoying reading the emails being
passed around and reserving my comments on a lot of things, anyways just
food for thought:

Don't you think this will cause serious problems, this is already
1130hrs and a venue has not been confirmed yet for games which are
supposed to take place tomorrow morning as early as 0830am, by the time
you confirm your venue how are you going to notify all the teams??? Are
you going to assume that everyone will be able to ready the email you
are going to send late this afternoon or people will have to run around
tomorrow morning trying to figure out where exactly the games are going
to take place.

And to concur with what Daud has just commented. It seems like teams
don't know what they are playing for??? It is money or medals or its
simply t'shirts. I think its ideal to let teams know way in advance
whats in for them when they win otherwise these things will haunt you at
the end of the day. Once rumours start going around, and as you all know
very well, us guys we love talking too much. It will just take someone
to mention something stupid to someone for the shit to hit the fan and
being a Presidential Initiative on Sports a lot of people might end up
in hot soup, considering what happened in the past about basketball
officials misappropriating funds. There might be serious problems for
certain individuals at the end of the day. Please keep people(teams)
well informed of thing way in advance.

Food for thought

Abale azanga

Tomorow we go into another round of Basketball muchikho chabwana ichi.
Yesterday we finished ndime yachipulula. Blazer beat trojans and ABC
beat Bayonets. The game between Bayonets and ABC was a marvel to watch
due to the end to end actions plus the closeness interms of baskets. ABC
left it till late to dispatch Bayonets out of the presidential cup. I
won't say much on the Blazers/Trojans game because my team Trojans was
thouroughly by the multi-race and multi-talented Blazers contingent.
Mwachulukitsa abale. Mungoyambitsapo chipani apa. Imagine Adam scoring
only six baskets, Giggs 4 baskests but they still won. Alipo kagulu
kamwana alirenji.

Fixtures for tomorow games

Kamuzu Barracks Vs Parachute Batallion 8:30am Outside Court - Ref from
Trojans

ABC Vs Bunda Inside 8:30 am Inside court - Ref from Mimbulu

Trojans Vs Mimbulu 10:00am Inside Court - Ref from Blazers and 12
Disciples

(Winner ABC Vs Bunda) Vs (Winner Kamuzu Barracks Vs Parachute Batallion)
Outside Court 10:00am - Ref from Mimbulu

Blazers Vs 12 Discples 12noon inside Court Ref from Mimbulu and Trojans

(Loser Blazers Vs 12 Disciples) Vs (Loser Trojans Vs Mimbulu) 14hrs -
Ref from teams below

(Winner Blazers Vs 12 Disciples) Vs (WinnerTrojans Vs Mimbulu)16hrs -

This is assuming the games will be played at ABC. We are still trying to
sort out the venue issue.

Dear Songe,

i understand and appreciate your concern. This is a problem which i had
from the first day of the tourneyment. If all time had confirmed on time
we could not have been having these problems. Infact all the teams that
played ooutside the gym should not have been allowed to play because
they confirmed very late. If we are were anly allowing stronger, then
institute would not have been playing in Goups A and B. We gave you a
chance against NRC and Para and we made it clear that only one team will
be considered. That was the best i could do to allow you to take part,
otherwise your delay in confirming gave us problems.

On Kamuzu Barracks, just like you, NRC and Para, we had to find a way of
including them. But when they arrived, here was no time and you had
finished the games i your group.

Note one thing, KB will not play one game and then qualify if they win.
The winners between KB and Para will meet the number five team from
group 1 and 2.They will also play 2 games just like you.

I hope i have made my self clear. It might appear unfair yes, but its
the way it is. I hope next time it won't be like this and you will be
able t confirm your participation in good time.

Regards

Obwana Helebati chigdaya.ife a Mdzozo tili ndi dandaulo. How come u
eliminate us from the presidential cup after we won one game against NRC
and lost a single game against Air B.?Yet Kb did not come to last weeks
games and they did not play or win any game but you have given then this
unfair chance to play against Airb. that if they win they emerge the
winers of our Pool(C).In other poolz teams with cases like ours r been
given a chance coplate their games.Pliz consider this we might not be a
big team or even win this cup but i think we deserve a chance to prove
that we cant do it.Just coz we r a small team that doeznt mean we cant
play. If it was that case u could just have grouped the CEZOBAL teams
into League A and B.

Slight chage gentlemen. The game between Trojan and Blazers will start
at 7pm not 6.30 pm as previously communicated. Bayonets and ABC will
start at 5:30 pm.

Thanks Roy, I get your point. We are almost talking about the same
thing. CEZOBAL will follow the constitution. It will have the position
as required. One i am trying to point out is that, for some one who is
going to be vice pres for example, he/she will not be ushured into
office as a vice president. He will be going in there knowing before
hand that my position is not the tradition vice president role ngati pa
farmer kalabu. In other words a person will be a vice president on paper
to fulfil the constitutional requirements but in real sense he/she will
be technical director. Ili la vice president lingokhala dzina kuti
tisaphwanye malamulo. Koma tikangowasankha, ndipotikamawadzaweruza, they
will be answering questions on their perfomance as say technical
director not Vice chakuti.

Subject: {CEZOBAL} Subcommittees

Let me give you guys an example

I am Secretary General of Basmal and the Chair of the Women Basketball
Subcommittee

Jacob is Vice President and Chair of the Technical Subcommittee

Oscar is the President and he chairs the fund raising subcommittee

Daud was Vice Secretary General and Chair of the Youth Development Sub
Committee

I am sure that the same set up can be followed in Cezobal. As you can
see, the present constitution allows for what you are suggesting and you
can appoint individuals from outside Cezobal to assist the chair of a
particular subcommittee to help him or her out if need be.
