La CEZOBAL Family, I'm glad to announce to the CEZOBAL Family that we just got confirmation of a donation for 60 pieces of timber (hardwood) worth close to MK250 000. This timber will be used for the Spectator Stands which we are currently building at the CIVO Court. According to Sterling Timbers, they have recognized the hard work CEZOBAL is putting into developing basketball in the country and after they were approached by CEZOBAL, they didn't hesitate in helping out. They are glad that their donation will help out with the development of basketball in the country, and they know that they have put a big smile on a lot of basketball fans. This donation will be greatly appreciated by basketball fans in the Lilongwe City as well as across the country. The CEZOBAL Executive Committee has invited the Manager of Sterling Timbers to be part of this weekend's action during the Hardcore Challenge Games. A proper handover ceremony will be done once the timber has been delivered to CEZOBAL, hopefully sometime next week. Can I also that this opportunity to remind ALL those who promised donations of bags of cement, bricks and river sand to please bring your donations this weekend so that we QUICKLY finish of the building work and get the stands ready by next week before the League games resume. Please be reminded that next week Saturday afternoon, there will be a Social 3 on 3 Social Corporate Tournament at CIVO and Sterling Timbers have promised to sponsor a team to take part in that tournament. I'm glad to also announce to The CEZOBAL Family that The CEZOBAL Executive Committee will be doing a Raffle Draw in partnership with Crossroads Hotel, tickets will go out on sale next week. The first prize for the raffle draw will be a weekend for Two at the Crossroads Hotel's Suites, whilst the second prize will be a dinner for TWO at the Crossroads Hotel's Restaurant. There will also be 5 Pizza voucher prizes from Pizza Inn. We are still working together with our partners, Crossroads Hotel on extra consolation prizes for the Raffle draw. This raffle draw is to raise money for the CIVO floodlights, and also for prizes to be given out for the 2012 CEZOBAL League Winners (Men, Women and Veterans). Tickets will be sold at MK2000 each. We hope to also have a Crossroads Hotel team taking part in the Social 3 on 3 Veterans tournament next weekend. Let's all support the efforts being made by the CEZOBAL Executive Committee. PLEASE Be reminded that ALL the drinks and braai being sold every weekend its part of CEZOBAL raising of funds to help run the CEZOBAL Leagues. PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT THE COMMITTEE WILL ALSO BE SENDING OUT, IT'S ANNUAL REPORTS, Chairman's, Secretary's and Treasurer's Reports before the Second Round begins. We want every member of CEZOBAL to be aware of how the finances are being used, and how the league has progressed in the past year, and also show the Committee's plans on improving CEZOBAL going forward.
