As CEZOBAL for the last 2 years we have been having this charity event. This year's CEZOBAL CARES Charity event will be held on Saturday the 15th of December at Mtendere Village in Lumbadzi. For those of you who are not aware of Mtendere Village, CEZOBAL was involved with the construction of a basketball court at this Orphanage earlier this year, many thanks to Rocky Kaunda and Dean Lungu Jnr for helping out with the construction of the basketball court. The CEZOBAL Executive Committee has decided that this year we visit Mtendere Village. There is about 150 kids at this orphanage some of the kids are in Secondary school, CEZOBAL has a partnership agreement with an NGO called Kusewera which is based in the USA. Kusewera looks after Mtendere Village. Kusewera is looking at bringing NBA stars to Malawi in the coming 2013 season to inspire kids at Mtendere Village as well as to conduct basketball clinics for CEZOBAL. Those of you (teams or individuals) who would like to donate, either second hand clothes, basketball stuff and groceries (all monetary donations will be used to purchase groceries). Please contact our CEZOBAL Charity Ambassadors Towela Ndovie (0999894129 Email: [email protected]) or Sir Sten Chakanika (0999433335 Email: [email protected]) before Wednesday 12th December 5pm to arrange to give them your donation. Please remember that each CEZOBAL team is supposed to send a minimum of 2 representatives for any CEZOBAL event as per CEZOBAL rules and regulations, failure of which 2 points will be deducted from that team in the 2013 season. Team Representatives will be required to wear thier team's jersey (top only). All those who will be going to Mtendere Village, we will all meet at the Area 18 Filling station at 8:30am NOTE: That fixtures for the first round of 2013 CEZOBAL Season will be circulated this Friday. There will be NEW Regulations sent out together with the fixtures on how the 2013 CEZOBAL Junior Leagues will be run.
