What's sad is often a reason for the merger is being able to cut a lot of
"duplicate" jobs.
If ya make a 10% gross margin on sales, then ya gotta sell $10 of product to
make $1 in gross income.
But if ya can cut a buncha employees, then their salaries, benefits, etc. go
straight to the bottom line...

Check out Fucked Company's info on layoffs at Allaire/Macromedia - the
pink slips have hit the fan... I hope it is mainly deadwood or
duplicated functions that are being eliminated, but it is sure to cause
some panic at the new Macromedia and in the community. So best to be
prepared with the info. :-)
4/16 Rumor has it Macromedia/Allaire are gonna layoff around 200
people tomorrow morning.
