I didn't get it either...until yesterday. Apparently it's all the rage on
the net, though.
There was an article in our paper yesterday that explained it all. I didn't
read the entire thing, but skimming over it the saying "All your base
belongs to us" goes back to a 1989 coding error in a game created by someone
in Japan.
I think it was an Associated Press article that explained it all... will see
if I can find the reference.

P.S. Seems like there's a whole lot of other more important things we should
